Somerset Floor Plan - Maronda Homes
The Somerset floor plan was in the "Custom Series" of Maronda Homes. It featured 1700 sq ft of living space, split floor plan. The custom homes had upgraded oak or European cabinets a covered porch, intercom, R-30 ceiling insulation, upgraded carpet and padding and a stained wood trim package. The price for this model began at $87,400 in 1986 and by 1989 a price of $91,900. The lot was included in the price.

The "Sierra" Floor Plan
Tiffany Homes "Sierra" model was another popular floor plan during the late 1980's - early 1990's. The living Sq Ftg is 1502 making it one of the smallest models for our neighborhood. This home features a split floor plan and came with an optional fireplace evelation. The original price was $83,900 for elevations A & B. Elevation C was $650 more in price.

The "Winslow" Floor Plan
The Tiffany Homes floor plan of the "Winslow" is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home was advertised as 1520 sq ft. with a 462 sq ft garage and an optional screened patio. The starting price for the Winslow was $84,900 with Elevation "A" having a $900 adjusted price increase. Optional features that could be added for an additional price included a Stone Fireplace, Intercom System, Security System, Tinted Windows, Skylights, Screened Patio Enclosure, Sprinkler System, or Swimming Pool. This model can be seen most throughout Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the development which is on the west side of the subdivision. Tiffany Homes is still in business building homes throughout Brevard.

Maronda Homes "Hanover" Floor Plan - 1510 sq ft
The Hanover Floor plan is quite prevalent in our subdivision. This was a model home and is one of the smaller homes in the subdivision at 1510 sq ft. The floor plan is not a "split" floor plan as most in the subdivision. The Hanover's starting price in September of 1986 was $77,400. By April of 1989 the home was being sold by Maronda for 83,900. The lot was included in the price.

MARONDA HOMES "BURLINGTON" 3 & 4 Bedroom
Featured is the Maronda Homes "Burlington" 3 bedroom and 4 bedroom floor plans. This model is a split floor plan with an optional covered, 10x20 patio. The 3 bedroom, 1564 sq ft home began with a price of $80,900 in 1986 and by 1989 had a selling price of $87,400.
The 4 bedroom floor plan began with a price of $83,900 and by 1989 sold for $89,900. The 4th bedroom sq ftg being 1694. The lot was included in the price of the home.

Tiffany Homes "Camelot" Floor plan

Tiffany Homes was the builder for the "Camelot" Model. With 3 different elevations and square footage of 1596 of living space, this 3 bedroom 2 bath home sold for $87,900 in the late 1980's. Elevation "B" sold for $900 extra. Tiffany Homes model center was the first 3 homes on the main road of the subdivision, on the west side of the road. Phase 1 for Tiffany Homes was the first half of Kingdom Ave. Phase 2 was the back half of Kingdom, the back half of Empire and the west side of the street of Empire's front half. The starting price in 1986 for this model was $81,900 for elevation C and $82,400 for elevation E & F. There was a discount of $5000 if the buyer paid cash and the lot was included in the price. By 1989, the price had increased to $87,400

Tiffany Homes was a very popular home builder in the 1980's. The company still exists today and they still build in the Melbourne area.
The floor plan and elevations below is the "Coventry" model with a living area of 1750 sq ft. In 1986 it was built at a cost of $88,900 with the elevation of "A" an adiitional $900 and elevation "B" $650 additional cost. This floor plan was rather unique because it has 2 windows on the corner of the house located in the kitchen. The Saddlewood floor plan came from the "Franklin Series" of the Maronda Homes line.
This smaller floor plan started at 1500 sq ft. at a cost of $77,900 in 1986. There were 3 elevations to this plan. Elevation "E" included an additional 2 ft built on to bedrooms on the side of the home. At the time, the model for this home was located in Port St. John. This floor plan is repeated in our neighboring subdivision of Longwood also.

Maronda Homes "Creekwood"
The "Creekwood" floor plan for Maronda Homes had a start price of $89,400 in 1987 and was raised to $91,400 in 1989 depending on the upgrades. The Creekwood has two different floor plans. One for a 3 bedroom and another for a 4 bedroom. There are a few modifications to this plan throughout the community. On some homes the front windows wrap at an angle towards the front door with the door being set back a few feet. Other homes the windows are straight. This home has a galley kitchen and a terrific 14x29 screened back porch. It also has an indoor laundry room which was popular in the late 80's. Check out the Standard Features on the bottom picture.

Lancaster Model
Here is the first floor plan featured Circa. 1985
The very popular Maronda Homes "LANCASTER" model. 1843 Sq.Ft. This floor plan was one of the highest priced on the price list starting at $90,900 in 1985 and raised to $94,900 in 1989. The lots were included in the sales price. There were 2 different variations to the floor plan. The master bath to the front OR to the rear of the home. One being $500 more than the other.
I would be very interested to know who is an original owner to this floor plan and what attracted you to this particular plan? What are your likes and dislikes now that you have lived there for some 30 years. Same for those who are not original owners.
