My first attempt to fight back at the economy was to plant a garden last year. I'm a farm-girl-wanna-be at heart but for the lack of water and rain and bugs on my plants & the Florida heat well...I just didn't produce a thing. So I switched gears and found another way to fight back at the economy. Coupons! I have always used coupons in my adult life but not to the extent that I am now.
While trying to find online coupons, I stumbled upon a few active bloggers who post store's advertised sales and matched the sales with internet coupons and Sunday paper coupons among several other sources. The bloggers for these sites are the "watchdogs" for deals.
I have tried many of their techniques and over the last year I have saved hundreds in groceries, dining out at restaurants and in gift buying. I'll share with you the sites I found particularly helpful and link you to each one. First I must tell you that I did not realize couponing had a whole language of it's own. Some of the authors are helpful in getting you started with abbreviations and an introduction to using their sites. The list I have complied are the sites I find the most helpful coinciding with the stores in my local area.

If you have the time, you could literally save hundreds of dollars but beware, you could get caught up in buying items you normally would not buy just because it's on sale or a great deal. Make sure your purchases are items that will be useful to you and your home.
