MLS Statistics for December 2015

Information From the Space Coast Area Board of Realtors:
A quick recap of the Brevard County Residential Report for December 2015 compared to December 2014:



  • Closed Sales are up 3.5% for December 2015 in which the number of units closed were 839 compared to 811 in December 2014, with a decrease in cash sales by -11.1% compared to December 2014.
  • New Pending Sales are down -2.3% and New Listings are up 3.3%
  • The Median Sales Price for Brevard Single Family homes is up 17.9% to $165,000 compared to a year ago, which was $139,900.
  • Months Supply of Inventory is down -12.1% to 2.9 months compared to 3.3 months in December 2014
  • Traditional Sales are up 22.4%, with a median sales price of $176,500.
  • Foreclosure/REO Sales are down -49.0%, with a median sales price of $98,000.
  • Short Sale Closing are down -29.6%, with a median sales price of $81,000.

A quick recap of the Brevard County Townhouses/Condos for December 2015 compared to December 2014:

  • Closed Sales are down -3.2% for December 2015 in which the number of units closed were 210 compared to 217 in December 2014, with a decrease in cash sales by -4.6% compared to December 2014.
  • New Pending Sales are up 15.1% and New Listings are up 21.4%
  • Median Sales Price for Townhomes/Condos is up 20.8% to $145,000 compared to a year ago, which was $120,000.
  • Months Supply of Inventory is down -16.9% to 3.5 months compared to 4.2 months in December 2014
  • Traditional Sales are up 14.5%, with a median sales price of $147,500.
  • Foreclosure/REO Sales are down -64.9%, with a median sales price of $70,400.
  • Short Sale Closing are down -100.0%, with no sales.
